The Getting Started Guide is for new MarineTraffic Inbox (MT Inbox) users who want to make the most out of their first uses and get to know the system quickly.

Accessing Application

Login URL

You can access MT Inbox using the following link: https://inbox.marinetraffic.com/. We highly recommend using the Google Chrome browser for the best user experience, compatibility, and security.

Install MT Inbox Progressive Web Apps (PWA)

At the top right of the address bar, click on the Install icon. After that, follow the onscreen instructions to install the MT Inbox PWA.

MT Inbox Mobile App

You can find the MT Inbox mobile app on the Apple Store and Google Play.

This is a threaded email. The (2) indicates there are four emails in the conversation, as it includes both the emails sent and the emails received

Mailbox Tab

To focus on a specific mailbox, you can right-click on the desired mailbox and choose "Open in new tab".


User Preferences

To customize your Preferences, go to My Account then click on Settings. Here you will find the Preferences page.

Sending Mail

Enabling transmission delay allows users to retract an outgoing email within a specified duration.

To retract an email, simply click on the cancel button. The retracted email will then be saved to your drafts.

When composing an email, you can bypass the Transmission Delay by clicking on the "Send Now" button.

Default Signatures

To create a signature and assign it to a specific mailbox, simply click on "Manage Signature." It allows you to compose a unique signature for each mailbox.

Change Password

To change your password, simply click on the "Change Password" option. New users are provided with a default password and are advised to change the password upon initial login.

Search & Filter

Search Bar

The search bar can be found at the top of the screen. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut "Alt+Q" to quickly access the search bar.

Displays emails that contain the keywords "Ocean" and/or "Fortune"

Displays emails where the sender's email address includes "Michael"

To: Michael

Displays emails where the recipient's email address includes "Michael"

Tag: #done

Displays emails that are tagged with #done

Search Scope

The search scope is determined by the user's current view. When browsing the Mail Activity, the search functionality extends to all mailboxes. However, when browsing a specific folder, the search scope narrows down to that folder exclusively.

Filter

By clicking on the funnel button, you can apply filters to customize and narrow down the email results.
