How do I know if a vessel can enter a port?

Port Size & Capacity

Written by Charlotte Filippi

To assess whether a vessel can enter a port, cross-reference the port's limits with the vessel's own technical specifications:

  1. Note the port's maximum draught, deadweight and length from the Port details page

  2. Open the vessel's details page and tap the Vessel information tab

  3. Compare the vessel's draught, deadweight and length overall (LOA) against the port's limits

  4. If the vessel's values are within the port's limits, it is potentially compatible

Important note

Port capacity data is indicative only and may vary depending on berth availability, tidal conditions, and local port authority regulations. Always verify with official port documentation before making any operational or navigational decision.
