My Account basic features

As you explore the MarineTraffic platform for the first time, you’ll soon discover a wide range of features available to you — and your key to accessing them is your MarineTraffic User Account.

As you become more familiar with the tools and options, you’ll likely want a simple way to track your activity, manage preferences, and tailor your experience. The My Account section gives you exactly that, in a clear and easy-to-use format.

The My Account section is divided into different sections, each helping you manage a specific part of your MarineTraffic experience. These tabs include:

  • Account Overview

  • My Online Services

  • Business Profile

  • Corporate Account

  • Preferences

  • My Profile

  • My Fleets

  • My Notification

  • My Custom Areas

  • My Data Exports

  • My Stations (Available only for Station Owners)

  • Photos Uploaded

  • API Services

  • Billing

Apart from seeing all the information of your Account in the Account Overview, you should also be able to use a number of interesting features, such as:

  • Custom Areas. You can create your own Custom Areas of interest and get them displayed on the MarineTraffic Live Map. Closely monitor all the marine activity surrounding your Custom Areas and capture all the action on the territories you define.

  • Notifications. Use the MarineTraffic Notifications to keep yourself up-to-date with all the latest occurrences regarding your vessels (or fleets, where applicable) and your ports and areas (standard commercial areas or custom areas) of interest.
