Serial cable

A common RS-232 serial connection cable will do. This way, you will be able to connect the serial output (NMEA) of your AIS receiver to your computer (for example, we have successfully tested a 15-metre serial cable in order to be able to place a receiver of this kind very close to the VHF antenna while the PC was 2 floors lower).
