Wiring

Installation

The unit uses DIN rail mounting.

Web configuration

The computer and the converter must be on the same network, 192.168.0.0/24. That means setting your computer’s IP address in the 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.254 range. For example, 192.168.0.3

  1. Go to a web browser and type in 192.168.0.7

  2. The credentials are:
    USERNAME: admin
    PASSWORD: admin

For commercial vessels, please get in touch with your ship’s IT department to obtain the IP address.

Description

IP type

When the IP mode is set to “static IP,” you need to enter the unit's IP address manually. If the IP mode is “DHCP,” all addresses will be assigned automatically.

DNS type

Keep an “auto” option, unless a “manual” DNS address is necessary.

Static IP

Type in the device’s IP address.

Subnet mask

Type in the device’s subnet mask.

Gateway

Type in the device’s gateway address.

DNS Server

Type in the device’s DNS address.

Serial Port

Below are the necessary settings to send the AIS data to Marine Traffic.

Reset to factory default

Press the Reload button for 5 to 15 seconds to restore the factory settings. If it is less than 5 seconds or exceeds 15 seconds, the factory reset will not be performed. When the module is configured with incorrect parameters or if you have forgotten the previously set password, you can restore the factory settings.
