Wind details on a vessel
Tap any vessel on the map to open its detail page.
Go to the Current position tab.
Scroll down to the Wind details section.
You will see:
Speed — displayed in Beaufort (Bf), the maritime wind scale from 0 (calm) to 11 (violent storm) You can switch wind speed units with you preferred one from your settings
Direction — the compass direction the wind is coming from, with the bearing in degrees (e.g. E (104°))
Temperature — air temperature at the vessel's current position
The Beaufort scale bar at the top of the position view gives you a quick visual read of current wind intensity, colour-coded from calm (blue) to storm force (purple).
Wind details at a port
Tap any port on the map to open its detail page.
Scroll down to the Wind details section.
The same information is shown — speed, direction, and temperature — reflecting conditions at the port's location.
Tips
Wind data is refreshed automatically each time you open the vessel or port page.
The Beaufort scale is the standard wind measurement used in maritime navigation. Bf 4–5 indicates moderate breeze conditions; Bf 7 and above is considered near gale or stronger.
Wind direction shows where the wind is coming from, not where it is heading.
