How to change your coordinate format?

Where to find it

  1. Tap the profile icon at the bottom right of the map screen

  2. Scroll down to the Settings section

  3. Tap Units preferences

  4. Select the Coordinates tab

Available formats

Decimal Degrees (DD) The simplest format, expressing coordinates as a single decimal number.

Example: 48.8566° N, 2.3522° E

Degrees Decimal Minutes (DDM) Commonly used in marine navigation and GPS devices. Degrees are whole numbers, minutes are expressed as decimals.

Example: 48° 51.396' N, 2° 21.132' E

Degrees Minutes Seconds (DMS) The traditional nautical and cartographic standard. Splits the position into degrees, minutes and whole seconds.

Example: 48° 51' 23.76" N, 2° 21' 7.92" E

How to change it

Toggle on the format you want to use. Only one format can be active at a time. The selected format will apply everywhere coordinates are displayed in the app — on the map cursor, vessel details, and past track.
