Overview
Route Forecast lets you see where a vessel is expected to go, both in the next 30 minutes and over it's current voyage. It includes two views:
Prediction vectors — short arrows on the map showing a vessel's predicted position over the next 30 minutes, based on its current speed and heading
Current voyage route forecast — a detailed view of the vessel's expected full journey, including estimated waypoints, arrival time, average speed, and weather conditions along the route
Prediction vectors
1. Enable or disable vectors from map settings
To show or hide prediction vectors for all vessels at once, go to Map settings and toggle Prediction vectors on or off.
7-day route forecast
1. Tap a vessel on the map
Tap any vessel to open its information panel, then tap Route forecast to open the detailed view.
2. Read the forecast timeline
The forecast shows:
Departure port and estimated departure time
wind conditions at each step
Destination port and estimated time of arrival (ETA)
3. View the voyage summary
In the voyage details tab, find the voyage summary that shows the total distance, Travelled distance, average speed, and estimated total duration of the voyage.

Notes
Prediction vectors are a forecast, not a guarantee. Vessels can change speed, heading, or destination at any time
For vessels that are anchored or moored, vectors will show little to no movement — this is expected
The destination dotted line requires a valid declared destination to display. It will not appear if the vessel has entered a generic destination such as "FOR ORDERS" or "VIA SUEZ"
If the vessel's voyage is shorter than 7 days, the forecast ends at the estimated arrival time
If the vessel's voyage is longer than 7 days, the timeline shows the next 7 days from now
Forecast accuracy is lower for vessels with recent AIS signal loss or limited track history
Troubleshooting
No prediction vectors are showing for a vessel
The vessel may be stationary (anchored or in port), have an interrupted AIS signal, or not yet have enough movement data for a forecast to generate.
The destination dotted line is missing
The vessel has likely not declared a destination, or has entered a non-specific one. The dotted line requires a valid destination port to calculate a route.
The route forecast shows an unexpected destination
Route Forecast is based on the vessel's self-reported AIS destination. If the crew has not updated it or entered a placeholder, the forecast may reflect outdated information.
The forecast ends before 7 days
This is expected — it means the vessel is predicted to arrive at its destination within 7 days. The timeline ends at the estimated arrival time.
I can't access the 7-day forecast
The full route forecast is available on Mobile Pro. Tap Upgrade in the prompt to unlock it.
