The copyright of a Photo uploaded to marinetraffic.com remains to the original Photographer - copyright holder. It is strictly forbidden to copy any material from this site and use it elsewhere, without the explicit permission of the copyright holder.

Additionally, the name of the copyright holder of the photo must always be displayed. In case the Photo is made explicitly available in the public domain, without copyrights, please refer to its source. In most cases, you should only post your own Photos. Do not post Photos or images from any other source unless you are absolutely sure that you are not breaching a copyright.

The MarineTraffic administrators will make their best effort to ensure that the material submitted to the website does not violate any copyright, but they will not assume any responsibility that the information submitted by internet users is correct. In case marinetraffic.com becomes aware of the presence of copyright-infringing material submitted to its server, the administrators will remove this material and may take additional actions to block further inappropriate submissions from the same users.

MarineTraffic reserves the right to provide access to Photos to third parties, through the website, to be incorporated into their services. The third party does not acquire any right to the photographs and can only display them on-the-fly by using a web link of a Photo stored on marinetraffic.com. The name of the original Photographer will remain visible at all times.

As we are a free community and all Photographers are able to upload any current and clear Photo of any vessel, we cannot remove Photos unless they are offensive or violent by any means. But if you still wish to remove a Photo which does meet all our requirements, you may consider using the "Contact the Photographer" form, which you will find at the left banner of the page of each photo as depicted below:

You may fill out the form with your message to the Photographer, and select Submit. The photographer will be able to receive your feedback regarding the relevant photo.
