How to share shipments externally?

Sometimes you need to share shipment information with colleagues, clients, or partners who don’t have direct access to your MarineTraffic account. The Container Tracking Dashboard makes this easy: you can either export multiple shipments into a CSV file or share a single shipment via a URL link.

✅ Method A: Export and Send (multiple shipments)

  1. Filter your Container Tracking shipments (e.g. by client’s containers or status).

    • Use the filters at the top of the Container Tracking dashboard.

  2. Click Export and choose CSV.

  3. Share the file by email or upload it into your internal tools.

✅ Method B: Share a Single Shipment with a URL

  1. From the Container Tracking dashboard, click on the shipment row you want to share to open its timeline view.

  2. Click the Share button (top-right of the shipment view).

  3. The unique shipment URL is copied to your clipboard.

  4. Paste the link into an email, chat, or document to share.

💡 Pro Tip: Use Tags for Internal Coordination

  • Add tags such as 'ClientX' or 'High Priority' to group and filter shipments before sharing.

  • All tags are visible under Company Shipments, so your whole team can benefit
