You can access Preferences by going to My Account > Preferences.
The Preferences section allows you to customize how information is displayed on the MarineTraffic platform. Here you can:
Set your preferred time zone.
Choose how dates, times, distances, and coordinates are displayed.
Adjust the Live Map autorefresh interval.
Enable custom features like beta testing or note-sharing notifications.
Time Presentation Preferences
Control how timestamps, dates, and time intervals are displayed across the platform. You can choose your time zone (e.g., UTC), date format (e.g., DD-MM-YY), and time format (e.g., 24-hour clock).

Distance and Temperature Units
Select whether distances are shown in nautical miles, miles, or kilometers, and choose between Celsius or Fahrenheit for temperature displays.
Live Map Autorefresh Interval
Define how often the Live Map refreshes automatically. Options range from 1 minute up to 1 hour.
Coordinates Format
Choose the format for displaying coordinates:
Decimal degrees
Degrees, minutes, seconds
Degrees and decimal minutes
Custom Settings
Enable additional features by ticking the relevant boxes:
Opt-in to test beta features → Get early access to upcoming features and provide feedback.
Note Sharing Notifications → Receive alerts when notes are shared.
